I’ve seen “the IT crowd” also the “black books” and BBC’s “the office” which is my favorite. Now i am open for any suggestions of yours. My desire is to kill time while laughing a lot

Have you tried the US version of The Office?
@Likeradar yes but it lacks everything i loved in the original version
the biggest lack? Ricky Gervais!
Of all time, or currently airing?
I can’t answer the first, as SitComs have existed since long before my time. That existed in my life time, probably Cheers.
That’s on right now, either The Big Bang Theory or How I Met Your Mother.
The very best of all time is I Love Lucy. the reruns are still there today and survey states I Love Lucy to be the very best ever comedy.
Arrested Development (cancelled after 3 seasons), Big Bang Theory, Community, Parks & Recreation (a lot like The Office)
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is Magic..
TBN from the 80’s.
Rocky Road and Safe at Home were my favorites.
Are you in the UK? Father Ted! Watch it! Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on…
Oh, and Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Absolutely Fabulous, The Young Ones, Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, The League of Gentlemen, I’m Alan Partridge, and going back a long, long ways, The Goodies.
Or you could always look here. It’s rather comprehensive.
Of all time? Roseanne, I Love Lucy. The Dick Van Dyke Show.
Currently? The Big Bang Theory. Community.
I must concur with some of you. The Big Bang Theory is excellent.
The King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men, Friends
Fawlty Towers peerless in it’s perfection. Cleeses’ finest hour & that’s saying a lot!!
I second I Love Lucy. My 10 y/o watches a lot of the Disney sitcoms, and I see a lot of the tried and true scenes and gimmicks as I’ve seen on TV for the last 50 years— and they’re still as funny!
My all-time, hands down favorite is The Honeymooners. “Baby, you’re the greatest!”
I WANT TO LIVE IN MAYBERRY!!!
It’s always sunny in Philadelphia or Curb your enthusiasm
Blackadder, The Thin Blue Line, Dinner Ladies (with the amazing Victoria Wood) and I can’t NOT mention one of my all time faves “A Bit of Fry and Laurie” now can I <smiles>
I also LOVE the Sheldon show…. hang on our dvds say its called “The Big Bang Theory” lol and a lovely gentle comedy is “May to December” with the much missed Anton Rodgers. I do LOVE Black Books, and anything with Bill Bailey actually, his stand up dvds are brilliant ( I LOVE his Kraftwerk take offs LOL) and there is also QI which is so good you can watch them over and over and over again (and I have lol)
hugs xx
The Flight of The Conchords is well worth watching, though the style of humor may not be for everyone.
thank you all! i forgot to mention I’ve also seen and enjoyed blackadder some of you suggested it. i also have enjoyed “the flight of the conchords” @HTDC thank you
GA’s to those who said Fawlty Towers and Father Ted. The best ever!!
Up to now….
What about the IT Crowd? brilliant!!! IT workers need love too lol :-)
xx
@bunnygrl, The OP mentioned that they’ve already seen it in the details portion of their question.
oops <blushes and shuffles off to hide behind a curtain> sorry about that <blushes some more> I hadn’t re-read the question again, it just jumped into my head is all :-)
huggles xx
@bunnygrl – ‘S OK. The IT Crowd is an excellent show! “0118 999 881 999 119 725… 3” :D
IT Crowd is so fucking funny…i cried laughing. Now for the Seinfeld people all of you who suggested it “i didn’t laugh at all watching the first season” it is pleasing a bit but not funny at all
@Sebulba You should seriously watch It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I don’t know if you can access Hulu.com, but they have a few episodes up, and you won’t be disappointed.
Currently: Better Off Ted
Past: Barney Miller, MASH, You’ll Never Get Rich, SportsNight, and The Honeymooners.
just updating you people i watched 4 episodes of the season 1 of “the big bang theory” and i have to say it is watched with pleasure but i don’t laugh at all. i am starting to think english comedies are far more humurous since i cry laughing watching some of them. next i’ll try “always sunny in Philadelphia”
