Has anyone else heard about the new thrill ride planned atop the Stratosphere in Las Vegas ?

Asked by dutchbrossis (1384points) January 5th, 2010

If you have what do you think about it. It is going to be called Sky Jump, going to be like bungee jumping, except you are hooked to a cable and when you jump off you fall down the cable to the ground where you land on your feet. You don’t get the bungee effect.

Would you go on a ride like this?
Do you think it would be a good tourist attraction for Las Vegas that they will probably get ?

I am curious as to what you guys think about this, I am super excited and want to do it as soon as it opens if it does :-)

It does look like fun, but two things would keep me from doing it.

1) It would probably cost too much, and
2) I’m probably going to be over the maximum allowable weight.

Now if I lose enough weight and get a good enough job, yeah, maybe some day.

Looks great BUT I am the greatest thrill! Period.

Lol guys. I don’t think it will be as expensive as the one in New Zealand, at least I hope not.

No, thanks! I’m afraid of scrambling my brains. :-)

I hadn’t heard about it until I saw your question and examined the link you posted. To be quite honest, I don’t know if I’d have the guts to attempt that jump.

@Bluefreedom Lol yea it is one of the first things I have looked at that I can honestly say looks a bit scary, I have been bungee jumping 24 times and that doesn’t really scare me anymore at all. That jump off the Strat might scare me a little though, but I will definitely do it
