Regarding the Mozilla Firefox browser (please see details)
When you start up Internet Explorer, you have an option to set the tabs at the top to open up multiple websites as you are loading the site.
I’ve looked at the various options on the Firefox browser and cannot find a way to perform this identical function. Does anyone know of a way to do this on Firefox or even if it can be accomplished? Thanks for any and all help.

good question…would like to know the answer to this one also!
just open all the tabs, then set your homepage as normal.. it will remember them
If I’m understanding the question right.. all you have to do is:
1. open up each tab/website that you want to be open when you start up firefox
2. Click Tools
3. Click Options…
4. On the main tab under the homepage box is a button “use current page/s” .. click it
5. click ok
Blue, do you see the little box that has the + in it? Click on that & it’ll open a new window for you. Go to your bookmarks & select what you want. It’ll put it in a new window. Then when you close out, it’ll ask you if you want to ‘quit & save’. Is that what you’re talking about? Or am I misunderstanding you?
You can also press CTRL + T to open a new tab… just food for thought.
@jbfletcherfan I live or die by the keyboard.. lol.. the mouse slows me down so I try to use all those fun keyboard shortcuts
Also, on the settings page where you change your home page there should be a drop down box with one entry that reads “When Firefox Starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time”
That may do it, if you have ‘em all open when you close down.
ok, downloaded Firefox recently, have an icon to open Firefox, but when you click on it, nothing happens…well, it spins for a few seconds! what should i do?
@NaturalMineralWater I’m sure there’s a lot of those short cut key strokes that I don’t know about. The F7 for printing never did work on here for some reason. :-(
@Cotton101 is the icon on your desk top? It should open your browser here…......
it is where all my other icons are…internet explorer etc..
@Cotton101 Right…on your desk top. Right click on the Mozilla Firefox icon, OR double click on it. It should open up your browser page.
Do you mean having a bunch of different pages as your home page? If so just put the pipe character | in between each page you want when you type them in to the box.
Okay, did that….really don’t see a change! I’m missing something!
@jbfletcherfan What about CTRL + P for printing? Now, I don’t know anything about mac if that’s what you have.. XD
Open up the task manager. Sometimes firefox gets stuck in limbo when you close it. Ctrl+alt+delete or ctrl+shift+escape and look for it in the processes tab.
Yeah, but if a window isn’t showjng up, end the process and try again. Should be firefox.exe.
When you launch firefox and it doesn’t appear, open the task manager and end the process, then try again. If that doesn’t work, reboot. If that doesn’t work, use Chrome :P
gotcha…thank you very much..
@NaturalMineralWater Oh, I’ll have to try that one. I have a Logitech keyboard that does a a lot of things differently than a regular keyboard. I’ll try that next time I’m going to print. Thanks…..:-)
Blue…are you still here? Has any of this helped?
Hello everyone. I asked this question at work, unwisely perhaps, and it has taken this long to get back here on Fluther. I apologize for that and thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. I believe that what @NaturalMineralWater, @johnpowell, and @mrentropy all submittted will steer me in the right direction.
I just came from the Firefox browser and @NaturalMineralWater‘s instructions did exactly what I needed. =)
oh shoot, sorry, I forgot I wasn’t even talking to the OP :P
@reactor5 you gave some great answers..thank you!
@Cotton101 just doing mah job, marm. of course, no offense if you’re a sir :P
