Do you have a great food combination that when you tell people how delicious it is they look at you a little sideways?
My two favorites would have to be: Life Cereal with ice cream, and pretzel twists with Philly cream cheese :D
I’m sooo excited to try all the anwers!!

I love grits slathered on buttered toast.
Peanut butter and bananas
apples and bananas
honey and yogurt
artichokes on pizza
I have two
on any fast food burgers (mc Donlands, BK ) I put the fries on top of the burger)
and chocolate frosting on Saltine crackers
Whenever I make myself a chicken quesadilla, I put cheez-its inside. Don’t judge me, it’s delicious.
I like scrambled or fried eggs dumped directly into a bowl of buttery grits. It doesn’t sound odd to Southerners, but it’s not something most others would look at and want to eat.
Drat! I’m sooo hungry now! Great combinations!!
Oreos dunked in Sundrop instead of milk
dark chocolate and beef jerky; potato chips and mayo; corn ice cream with crisped silk; coconut ice cream with lime; pork lo mein added to a philly steak sub; PB&J with bologna; scallops simmered in green tea with honey; chocolate covered garlic; chocolate covered grasshoppers (though I can’t call it a favorite it was surprisingly good)

Peanut butter and Chinese noodles.
I blame AA Plaza for this
Just plain mustard on a piece of bread…love mustard on anything! That is wierd!
@pdworkin : oh? I’m sorry if it’s a repeat >.< I need to get into the habit of searching before asking..
i also like to dip chunks of dark chocolate into my espresso.
Peanut butter and Raspberry jam on Rye bread with Salami and Cheddar cheese slices.
Captain Wafers (this kind of cracker only!) and Ken’s Thousand Island Dressing Yum!
And it is disgusting, but Eating Chicken noodle soup and then taking a bite of chocolate. It is that sweet and salt thing.
Love to take all kinds of vegetables, put them in tin fold, put lots of butter with the vegis’ and spices, and add chicken thighs….and put on the grill and enjoy!
Peanut butter and jelly…its really abnormal
peanut butter on a slab of cabbage . . . mom fed it to us as kids and I was always dumbfounded by the moms that did peanut butter on celery (the cabbage is MUCH better).
Hamburger with peanut butter. Sounds nasty, but it really isn’t that bad.
@jonsblond actually, no…found that on a menu in Tuscaloosa, Al at the Mug Shot…great place to eat! Order it, and it was very good!
Maple syrup and sausage
Got it from an old kids in the hall sketch
grilled cheese with grilled onions and mustard.
@Mike_Hunt maple flavored sausage and sausage patties are good!
Mine would be my favorite sandwich: Kielbasa, hummus, pickled beets, and mustard on 12 grain bread. My roommate gags every time she sees me make it, but the other week she tried it and thought it was amazing.

Chicken tikka masala on toast!
My brother swears by a Peanut Butter, Salami, and Mayonesse sandwich.
I enjoy bbq corn chips with grapefruit juice.
Mcdonald’s fries with their soft serve vanilla ice cream – I dip the fries in it.
Mayo and ketchup mixed together to make a dip to go with chicken nuggets and fries.
Hot dogs with corn, salsa and a good heaping of mashed potatoes nicely layered on top ( that’s a brazilian way of serving hot dogs, all the street vendors will have mashed potatoes, corn, salsa, shredded chicken, and fries to put in the hot dog).
Beef liver steaks with sauteed onions.
Barbecue pork sandwich with potato chips inside, to give it a little crunch.
And a grilled cheese sandwich with mayo, some ham and very thin sliced tomatoes.
@uberbatman personally i dont think that, but others do.
Peanut butter and fried baloney/bologna or peanut butter and bacon. Yummy!
French fries dipped in a chocolate milkshake (sounds really weird until you try it). The best weirdest pizza topping combo I discovered (thanks to my stoner aunt) was ground beef, onion, and pineapple.
Peanut butter and tomatoes
I just found this thread and I love it. Some of these combinations are completely normal to me. As a child my mother used to just put any old leftovers between two pieces of bread and give it to me as lunch at school I did used to have the micky taken sometimes some were horrible (peanut butter and cottage cheese or peanut butter and marmite) but others were delicious: cold mashed potato, mayo and tomato ketchup was a favorite but I have just discovered peanuts and cabbage which is great as a salad using fresh ground up peanuts or in a sandwich using peanut butter.
Marmite and cheese on toast is a standard mix of foods (maybe not for you guys in the US) but I like to add hummous to mine too… maybe not so normal but only once the cheese is melted. You just dip the marmite and cheese on toast into some hummous. (Must be cheddar cheese mind!)
I also like peanut butter, banana and cornflakes on toast (talk about calorific) but it is yummy. from this it seems to me peanut butter goes with most things
I also loveee banana on pizza: they sell it as a standard topping in south africa where I first tried it. Delicious!
Chips and chocolate spread are also a good standard one but has anyone tried crisps and fromage frais? Works best with plain, salted crisps and some rasberry or summer fruits petit filous.
