Have you looked at your fluther recently?
I just noticed the changes to my fluther, have you? Have you known about this? Am I late to the party?
Wondering what my fellow flutherites think of the change. :)

it’s very similar to the way Twitter handles who you follow/who follows you. it goes hand in hand with the new upper limit for your fluther.
I’ve looked now that you mention it – seems like all the people in my fluther have checks next to them – I guess that means they’re following me as well.
Didn’t notice anything until you mentioned it. I like it. Makes it easier to keep track of things, definitely. :)
Uh…if I may be so stupid, where IS ‘my fluther?’ I don’t see it….....
@Dog Does all the checks mean everyone in my fluther, even the ones that haven’t been here for months, are following me?
I do not see any checks… anyone have a screen shot?
@Dog Check out Sarcasm’s link.
Where are the user pages?
(I read the blog post)
@Dog I don’‘t see any checks, either. Most of my friends are gone. I see the ‘more’ thing…
Just noticed it when I saw this question! I love it. On my followers page (that sounds a bit odd though, doesn’t it!) I noticed two people who I thought were in my fluther but weren’t, and I was able to promptly add them.
Hmmm, this is gonna take some getting used to.
But one can no longer see the avatars of their entire Fluther at a glance the way it used to be. Why?
And from a previous question about the order in which the avatars appeared was based upon length of time from when they first registered; ie: oldest first.
Now that has changed as well. Why?
Hopefully Tim is still hanging around to answer my two why’s, pretty please with sugar on top?
@Buttonstc It does make it harder to find someone in your fluther if you are looking to PM them.
OMG…I HATE that list thing! If you want to look someone up you have to go through all the pages. This is what Askville has & it’s horrendous! Guys, you GOTTA be kidding! This sucks big time. What a mess! What a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jbfletcherfan – But tell us how you really feel!
I don’t really like it either – it feels very Facebooky to me – but since I rarely use “My Fluther” it won’t affect me much.
I love it! I like knowing who I’ve added and who’s added me but I haven’t added yet. Now I can add those people :) Thank you :)
@Buttonstc We don’t show them all because it was making the profile pages slow (all the images) and also wasting lots of profile space.
@jbfletcherfan I’m surprised to hear how much you hate this. You can still search for someone to find them, or type their name in the address bar (fluther.com/username). Showing this as a list also allows you to easily see if you’re following people, and makes the pages smaller and faster. Can you articulate what you don’t like about this?
@ben Are you guys gonna fix it like you fixed the Q4U? :P
Honestly, I’m not loving it either. While they did take up a good bit of the profile page, I think that the display was interesting… and that it was very, very easy to find who you wanted. Its not so easy now. I think that the fact that its not so easy is part of what @jbfletcherfan is having issues with. It also resembles Askville’s inefficient system that those of us originally from there have come to hate because of the difficulty of use. I liked having my fluther laid out for me, easy and available, and find the change to be something that I don’t like very much at all. I especially don’t like the randomness of the displayed people… General all-around dislike.
But you also scrambled up the original order. Why.
This makes it doubly difficult to Pm someone. I was used t seeing certain things in certain places.
I’m just not likin’ this at all. Much more clunky. I never noticed any slowdown in page loading, even on iPhone.
I know you guys are trying to improve things and appreciate the effort, but not all change is improvement.
Thumbs down for me. Sorry.
And please explain the rationale of switching the order from oldest to…....(whatever?)
I don’t like it either. I think it’s hard to find someone if you are trying to PM.
One thing I really like is the ability to add someone else to my fluther straight from the list of my followers or someone else’s followers. That’s cool.
But I feel like clicking on “See all” should just immediately, like, expand the fluther/box instead of leading to a new page altogether. IMvHO: the fewer the pages, the less convoluted, the better.
There is something else about this that bugs me, but I have no idea what. Entirely possible it’s just the change (who wants to get used to something different?), but maybe not.
Agh—no!! Scrolling through pages instead of just glancing at one small display? What a nuisance! It was just fine the way it was.
Please save us from this plague of “improvements.”
Would it solve the issue if on your own profile you saw everyone’s avatar (like it used to be)?
@ben. It would probably be a good start. I have to go with the crowd that likes it the old way too.
I really do prefer the old way altogether.
@ben I do like how it used to be, but the change intrigues me. Easy access to my fluther is top on the list though.
@ben Yes. I could live with other people’s pages being condensed, but my own is hard to deal with that way.
After thinking more about it, I do agree it’s better to be able to view your own fluther in full. Thanks for all the great feedback.
Okay, sounds like a plan. Expect the change imminently.
All right, that is much better. Thanks.
You guys knew this would happen, didn’t you? You had the alternative treatment all ready to go. I’d bet on that. You are so canny.
Just one thing, though: I don’t consider that I have “followers,” and I don’t think of myself as “following” anyone. That’s not how a fluther is defined. Why would we want to sound like Tw some other completely different website?
Thanks guys. That you listen so readily and respond so quickly to users’ feedback is what makes Fluther such a great place. Much appreciated.
@Jeruba I swear we didn’t have it ready!
Wow! Now that’s service. I lurve you bendrewim.
If you say so, @timtrueman, then I believe you. In that case, you get the Lightningfish award for speedy fingers under duress.
Yeaaaaaa…So much better. One of the things that I didn’t like about the list thing, too, was that it wasn’t even in alphabetical order. It was just a mish-mash. Please leave it alone now, okay?
@jbfletcherfan It wasn’t a mishmash, it was in, I believe, reverse chronological order. :)
