How did you find Fluther?

I found it while checking out Fluid (http://fluidapp.com/), near the middle of the page there is a bar of icons and I just decided to check out what was there.

My guy used to be on here and would tell me about how it’s pretty interesting and informative, and more intelligent than a lot of forums (there was one person in particular who impressed him, but I embarrassed the person last time I mentioned his name, so I won’t. :) ) So I checked it out, liked it, and stayed. The site’s gotten a lot more social and less expert-y since then, so the boy doesn’t use it much anymore.

A late night/early morning escapade (last night) through my twitter followers brought me here. I wound up staying up till almost 5am on here. Would have been great, if I didn’t have to be out of here in less than an hour… :|
I like it though – finally, a place where my status as “King Of Useless Trivia” might actually come in handy! :)

Found it after being directed here by an I Pod Touch App called Taptu

I took the red pill.

When I was looking for the lost city of Atlantis.

I’d never been a community blogger and hadn’t heard of Fluther till I stumbled onto it on the iPhone app page. I liked its descrpition, downloaded it and joined, and the rest is history.

I found it through Lifehacker, too.

i searched ’‘LHC sabotage from future’’ on google. fluther was the 2nd result.

I was looking up stuff about jellyfish. Seriously.

I took a “left” at that other place, opened my eyes, and there it was.

The lovely and talente @smack and @le_inferno demanded that I join.
I still dunno why I’ve stayed.

I had terrible luck and experiences with the others (Yaho! Answers, Help, Mahalo Answers, and another one that I can’t remember the name of). They were either terribly modded, immature, or they didn’t remember my password! Seriously. After about a month on each, it said I had changed the password when I hadn’t! I couldn’t get in. So I was googling and found some blog that somebody had posted a link on. I can’t even remember what the blog was called.

I pulled the big orange handle, the ‘chute swung twice and I landed here. The natives are friendly and intellgent. I’ve found a home here.

In between jobs I was working for my dad. My brother and his friends were also working and all they talked about all day was fluther. They wouldn’t tell me what it was so when I got home that day I looked it up and have been here ever since. I did take a few month off when my life was crazy busy. I stay because its interesting and I can be a bit of a know it all and this allows me a good outlet for that.

There were these two giant hulking guys and they pushed me into a dark alley and pulled out these long sharp gleaming knives. One of them leaned close (God his breath was foul), placed his knife so the blade ran from my chin to my forehead and told me (in a voice that sounded paradoxically high and sweet) that they could carve me up right then in the alley, or I could get on fluther. They must have not liked the hesitation, because he pressed the blade just a little, bringing me a line of intense fire (i.e., he cut me), so I agreed.

I’ve been here ever since. And I stay away from dark alleys now, too.

Augustlin suggested I would like fluther and she was right. She had seen some of my status updates on facebook and she realized fluther would be a better forum for the question I have rolling around in my brain.

I made a left at Yahoo! Answers and another left at WikiAnswers. After passing Answerbag on the right I found Fluther just ahead on a shining hill.

My ex (adreamofautumn) told me about fluther when she discovered it – we were dating at the time. I don’t remember how she found it, she was probably googling something and it came up. She’s on hiatus (although I keep pestering her to come back!).

When AB imploded last month, everybody defected to Fluther. I just came along for the ride…

Askville underwent a period of extreme craptasticness and I came here instead.

I was really paranoid about something, and googled around the net for a good couple of hours. I asked the same question on a million sites, and when I found this site, it was the fastest, and the best. It really helped me, and the atmosphere is just great!

Actually, I was sent by theGewgle looking for ways to encourage the dog to chew his food and came upon words of wisdom from CyanoticWasp here. http://www.fluther.com/disc/67310/how-can-you-teach-a-dog-to-chew-food-rather-than/

(I actually removed the toothpicks, but my dog has no problem opening crackers; and – in spite of the fact that he actually prefers chianti with his fish – the obvious value of such informed advice compelled me to peruse around and eventually sign up).
