Would you sign a petition for Uwe Boll to retire for a pack of gum?

…or for free even? in April 2008 The Guardian ran an article claiming Uwe Boll promised to retire if an online petition at PetitionOnline asking him to do so received 1,000,000 signatures. A month later the makers of Stride gum announced they would give a pack of gum to each person who signed the petition, if it indeed reached 1,000,000.
If you don’t know who Uwe Boll is, all you need to know is he makes a profit from making really crappy movies. (theres more to it than that but basically yeah)

Uh, no. If you don’t like his movies, don’t see them.
Sure. I could use a pack of gum.
I don’t care for his movies, but I go with the idea that @Likeradar suggests.
It’s not just that they’re bad movies. But they’re movies based on video games, and they’re all fail and kind of ruin the games.
I saw about 10 minutes of “Alone in the Dark” for that alone I’d sign; but then I can’t blame him for continuing to put dreck on film, after all investors keep giving him money.
@Sarcasm I saw Postal… really, really terrible movie.
Nooooooooooooo, I like his movies. (well, I have only seen Postal (fantastic movie) and Farcry (a good movie, but it did not quite know whether it was a comedy or serious), but I liked them both)
His name alone gets my signature.
Isn’t he considered, along with Ed Wood, to be the worst director of all time?
@DominicX Yeah, I read that many people consider him to be the modern day Ed Wood
I don’t think he should retire, I just think it’s very interesting that 1. He, himself would create that sort of ‘bet’ and 2. Stride Gum comes out of nowhere and jumps in on the action. someone at Stride must really not like Uwe Boll
Everyone knows that the worst director of all times is George Lucas. And any of the hacks that produce these gut wrenching romantic comedies.
