How do you work out?
Looking for a lazy person’s routine. Maybe 15 minutes a day, or 30 every other day. No muss, no fuss. No pain, no pain period.
No weights no ropes and no newfangled gadgets.
Just you and the elements.
Any ideas for me? (Swimming I know – looking for outdoor stuff).

I have an exercise simulator on the computer.
But I would suggest one of these.
Get out and go for a walk around the block, maybe in the evening after you get home from work or before you go if you get up early enough. Take the stairs in your office instead of the elevator every day or even just walk around the building. Good for a quick work out and helps clear your head too.
Warm up with some Budokan, then a run on the beach.
I walk. Walk around a couple blocks with my son, burn calories and tire my kid out.
Also, after I have my baby and use the ball as a birthing ball, I’ll use it for it’s proper form as an exercise ball here’s a site and you can use it while watching tv or whatever. I’m hoping to do some ab exercises on it, and be able to watch my kids at the same time. Hopefully the two year old doesn’t attack me.
Offer to walk a friend’s dog that normally doesn’t get regular walks and train it how to walk on a leash gradually.
I just play sports once in a while.
High metabolism ftw.
Sit ups!!!! they make your abs look great
I also take Ballet and Advanced Hip Hop at my grandmas dance centre…
be as active as you can
RACQUETBALL (every other day)
Cycling
Running
&
Skateboarding.
Do some push-ups against a wall. That’s what I do becuase I’ve not got quite the strength to do full military push-ups from the floor yet.
Here are some other ways to work out without buying anything.
I got myself a Total Gym for Christmas. It’s kicking my ass so far.
I many times fall off the wagon and stop exercisig for weeks at a time, but when I finally get around to doing the right things for myself I walk. I have a treadmill and I lose more weight and stay more fit when I use it consistantly, but I prefer to walk outside, I find it more enjoyable. I also have little 4 pound arm weights that I use in front of the tv for 10 minutes a day. Honestly, I prefer to take ballet classes and swimming, but haven’t been able to.
Strange that you should mention this. The other day the boss called me into his office and told me that I wasn’t working out.
So I guess I’d better start. (I wonder how he knew, anyway…)
Sex! I know it’s technically not just “you and the elements” but it really is the best work out!
Also, I like that someone mentioned walking a dog. I always find that if I have my dogs with me then walking is a lot more enjoyable.
I don’t exercise nearly as much as I should but I find being constantly anxious keeps my weight down. At least nervouse energy is good for something!!!
I walk a mile to work and a mile home each day, but for added exercise – zumba ( latin dance) exercise. You can laugh at the thought of me in front of my tv shaking (yea right) my hips, and I’m sure the guy downstairs thinks I have a herd of elephants in my apt,but I’ve lost 32 pounds and went down three jean sizes since the first of October. Plus – it’s a lot more fun than real exercise!
Even if it’s not that hard of a workout, make sure it’s consistent.
Yoga. You can use a mat, a strap and a block if you want to, but that’s just if you want to.
3 days a week I take Bikram Yoga classes (each is an hour and a half in 100 degree heat)
1 day a week I dance Argentine Tango (for ~5 hours)
the rest of the time I move a lot in my job and get a work-out through my kids, they’re pretty heavy and we get into a lot of wrestling fights.
I run about 3.5 miles every day or every other day. Takes 30–35 minutes.
I take my laptop out on the porch and look at internet porn until I’m breathing hard. If I wanted to live to forty years old, I’d probably get one of these.
@ratboy I use both, simultaneously. Great workout tip!
