How do I make a creative presentation?

Asked by GiantMicrobes (9points) January 7th, 2010

So, I need a way to present the biography of a Renaissance Man, unfortunatly the ways to present it was pretty open ended. My teacher basically said that we could do pretty much anything. I’m thinking of doing it on François Rabelais, a doctor, writer, and humanist, but I’ve hit a wall on how to present the project creatively. Any ideas? ...Oh, and if it helps I leaning toward something that can be a video.

Since you’re hitting a wall, dont you think a video production may be too much for you?

How about a slideshow presentatin instead using MS PowerPoint or if you dont have that, checkout OpenOffice.org . . . you can include pictures, bullet points for discussion if you care to present the matter interactively, some flashy text formats and a myriad of actions.

How about having an interview of the person you choose (in costume) on a simulated talk show. You give a friend a list of questions to ask, and dress up as the subject.

You need to use talents that you have. Does the presentation have to be an oral presentation, or can your creativity come in the form of a comic book, if you have drawing ability? Do you have acting ability?

François Rabelais was also a monk, and apparently had a series of pretty famous satirical and humorous novels two traveling giants. His books were banned by the church. This link has a good synopsis of why he’s an important figure, and his influences. Perhaps you could do the presentation as an interview with Gargantua, talking about Rabelais.

Take stock of your resources and use them to present your subject in the most interesting and novel way to make it memorable.
