Can cats see or hear the dead?
So can cats see or hear the dead? Animals or humans or both. Haven’t u ever seen your animal acting weard and think they may see something we can’t?

Well I guess it’s something we’ll never know. I highly doubt there would be a way to prove if they do or don’t.
Stuff like this gives me the shivers. Sometimes when I’m sitting in the living room, my dog will focus on a spot on the wall and start whining and barking at it. He’s not looking at me or at anyone, just barking at this same spot every time. I always think in the back of my mind that it might be a ghost, even though I try not to believe in superstitious things.
Sure. Take them to the funeral parlor and open the casket. Why you would want to is beyond me, though.
I doubt it. Animals sense of smell and hearing is SO MUCH MORE acute than our own.
They are likely hearing bugs or mice behind the walls or something equally physical.
They’re frequently in hunting mode and thus extremely focused. This only looks weird to us cuz we don’t hear or see the object of their hunt.
Have you ever seen videos of house cats hunting mice or birds. Same ultra-focused stare. Only difference being that the object of all this focused “weird” look is apparent to us.
When it’s no so apparent to us, it’s easy to conjecture something other than physical.

Your dog is hearing something which humans can’t. This is how they survived when they were wolves.
Those hunting instincts and ultra keen hearing are still a part of him. He knows there is something there but he’s frustrated cuz he can’t tear down the wall to get to it. Hence the barking and whining. It’s not ghosts.
WE can’t hear small insects or mice but they sure can. Even if it’s only termites or roaches, they can hear their movements.

Yes. My cat can see and hear the dead. She frequently tells me about it.
My cat sometimes acts like she’s being chased by something I can’t see. But I think she’s just dealing with some late-in-life psychosis.

No, my dog is useless. Even if dogs could do that, my dog would be too busy barking at leaves, tin cans and loud exhausts to worry himself with ghosts or burglars!

Let’s not pusy foot around here. Cats are evil. I’d put my money in the kitty that says no they can’t see dead people. Unless they have access to a catscan with add ons.
