Every generation fears their children, the question is, what happens/happened/will happen to make one generation fear the next?

Gen Ys are family centric.
I have never feared my children. What nonsense.
@pdworkin Maybe not your own children, but the generation below you?
We may fear for our children and their children, but we should never have to fear them.
The generation below me would be my oldest children, who are 28 and 26, and a gift. My younger children will be 13 in June. I don’t know what that makes them except that they are a great pleasure, and very charming company.
Gen Y refers to either everyone your kid’s age, or General Yang’s Chicken.
The thing that worries me about the former, is their lack of empathy. However, the truth is at that age I was pretty short on it too.
The thing that worries me about General Yang’s is that it might not be chicken.
My kids are very loving, decent, empathetic people. I feel privileged to know them. I take no credit.
We aren’t actually afraid of our children’s generation.
We are afraid of the fact, that the older they get, the more we are reminded of our own approaching mortality.
Not worried re Gen Y or the next.
When you think of just how stupid our generation was in causing feminism and socialism to change the world to such extraordinarily harmful depths!!??
How much worse could any other generation be than that??
That’s probably psychologically why we fear them – because Guilt is feeding back upon us… as they say, “What goes around, comes around“LOL!
What evidence do you have for saying Every generation fears their children? I’ve never heard or read that before. It doesn’t make any sense to me.
@denidowi what has been your experience with harmful world changes of feminism?
