Fluther avatars, how many Fluthers are using some sort of jelly fish avatar?
More so than any other site users on Fluther seem to tailor their avatar to the site (tons of jellyfishes). I did not see a bunch of users on AB using all manner of bags as their avatar. How many users have jellyfishes as avatars? Do you? If you do, do you try to scope out the others so you don’t have the same jellyfish pic as someone else? Did you take the pic of the jelly you are using yourself while on vacation etc?

Whenever i see the usual jellyfish avatar i just think….newwwbiiieeeee.

I don’t enjoy seeing default avatars unless they’re really cool looking
They give you options. You are free to add your own. Most sites only offer one by default. I know you hate Fluther and for some reason choose stick around. Dude, this is a lame complaint.
@johnpowell Who is complaining? Surely not me, I just seen so many jellyfishes and was curious as to how many there were, 20% of users, 43% etc. Hate Fluther? If you were dierecting that at me since I posted the question sorry to say you missed that one, got it all wrong. ;-)
i guess it’s just further proof that AB had some shit marketing. i guess that’s why so many people end up here.
I made some of my own jelly graphics in photoshop, and used from time to time. I like the jelly thing.
I thought I would stick with the marine theme and screen name seeing this whole site is marine based, I think it’s kinda cool and a bit of fun compared to other sites like Yahoo. There are many default jelly fish avatars to choose from here but I chose an octopus which I found on a free avatar site.
You are given the option of several jelly fish as default avatars. I think that is why many people use them initially and either change if they “are true of heart” or not, if they are lazy.
I have tried to upload a picture for my profile, but the computer will not let me. Evil (outdated) technology strikes again.

Hmm, obviously you can see that I still have the yellow jellyfish as my avatar. I like it a lot (especially since they upgraded the quality), and I’m feeling incredibly apathetic towards changing it because I’m lazy. I realize since it’s a default avatar that many other people also use it… but that doesn’t really bother me as I normally don’t pay attention to who’s writing what anyway.
