Seems important to understand well in this day and age.

There is one which airs on National Geographic once in a while called Inside the Koran.
It seems it will air again on the 12th of January.

The short film Fitna by Geert Wilders could give you some insight, although it isn’t really a balanced viewpoint.

Not a video, but this book is what we used in my world religion class in college. As the Amazon reviews indicate, it’s from a Catholic perspective but very balanced.

Three cups of tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
It is about a man (the author, Greg Mortenson) who creates schools for young Muslim girls to promote peace in the Middle East (in this book, a particular village in Pakistan).
It is a wonderful book and I highly recommend it!

I just watched: Inside Mecca online.
It seems a bit older. Still, for me it was good to get a sense of their dedication and the direction of their dedication.
