31337 is leet for ”elite”. While it can be used to refer to the Leet language in general, it’s often used in praise of someone’s skillz. It is occasionally shortened to “leet” or 1337.

1337 isn’t really around as much as it used to be though… I kind of miss it. Playing chess with my friend in our Spanish class, while passing notes written with ridiculous combinations of non-alphabetical characters.
