Anyone using T-Mobile's data plan with a laptop?

Asked by IchtheosaurusRex (8681points) January 12th, 2010

Not interested in smart phone plans. Considering a wireless broadband adapter for my laptop so I can connect anywhere. Who uses it, and what are the costs. I can’t find this info easily on T-Mobile’s website.

Looks like 200mb for $29.99 and 5GB for $49.99 (promo) per month.

And for the stick itself, the Jet is free, while the stick is $49.99, both require a 2 year contract. The latter allows international roaming (though I’m not sure if you’d pay extra for roaming fees) and the Jet won’t allow international use.

Hope this helped!

Whew – $50/mo for 5GB? Doesn’t really take long to burn through that. Guess I’ll stick close to home when I want to surf.
