Can anyone recommend a good hairspray that doesn't leave hair crunchy?
I normally don’t use hairspray, but I am considering trying some because my hair has a mind of its own! My requirements: 1) It must not leave hair with that awful crunchy texture and 2) It shouldn’t be too difficult to wash out of one’s hair. Recommendations, anyone?

Why am I thinking of a frosted Mini-Wheats commercial?
Cedel hairspray is great in my experience, though I’m not sure you can get it outside of Australia. Just so you know, it may be worth paying a little bit more for hairspray, if you’re concerned about texture as well as hold.
My personal favorite is Bed Head’s Masterpiece spray. It truly is awesome…definitely not crunchy, and it gives me a ton of volume and adds shine. The only problem is it only comes in an aerosol can, so I try not to use it too much—usually only when I’m going out and want really good hold and volume.
Frizz-ease Moisture Barrier finish. Once you run the brush through it, it will make the crunchy texture disappear. It also leaves your hair shiny, no flakes, and you really don’t have to wash it out. Brush it a few times and you won’t notice its there. Its really great if your hair suffers from moisture and gets curly.
If you are not sure about it, go to a general store like walmart or kmart and try travel sizes till you find the one that works best for you.
Hi Pandora:
Would it help with the static in my hair ?
Elnett is amazing, as is Aveda’s Air Spray (or whatever it’s called). Neither will leave your hair crunchy unless you way over apply, and they both wash out great. You can even brush most of Elnett out.
Schwarzkopf Supersoft volumising hairspray is superb. It holds your hair together, doesn’t leave it feeling sticky, and washes out well.
Samy ‘The Hairspray’ has enough hold for my hair, adds shine, and isn’t sticky or crunchy.
