What's the best thing about having opposable thumbs?

I like being able to solidly grip things, like pencils, steering wheels, tools, etc.
You realize that scientific evolution and fate are incompatible concepts, right?

I wouldn’t be able to make anything without thumbs. Would we be able to have invented anything that exists in the built environment without it? Not easily.

It’s essential to thumbing your nose at someone or something and I do that a lot. If it weren’t for my thumbs, I wouldn’t be the happy well adjusted individual I am today. :P
