Payment for paypal/ebay?

Asked by JONESGH (3554points) January 14th, 2010

I don’t have a credit card, but I want to start using ebay. I was wondering if it’s possible to use those prepaid visa cards that you can get a drug stores for a paypal account?
Thanks

I’m not too sure about prepaid Visa cards. But you can use your regular bank account to transfer money into your Paypal account, which is what I do. It may take a few days for the bank to clear the transfer but it’s good if you don’t have any credit or debit cards.

Yes, you can use a prepaid Visa card on Ebay. Just put the information in, just as you would a credit card.

I’ve had several over the years given to me as gifts on my birthday or a holiday present. You should see how many Visa cards I had on file with Ebay. I recently deleted all of them, except my bank Visa card, sense the money on the gift cards had ran out.

I’ve never had a problem with using one, when ordering off of Ebay, or anywhere on the internet for that fact.

You can use a prepaid visa card to start selling stuff. But you can’t really withdraw the money from your sales without a Bank Account or you have the option that PayPal will mail you a check

@mirze, yeah I PM’d him, and told him that.

The best thing to do if you’re selling is to attach your bank account to your PayPal account… and delete it when you’re not selling any more. I just topped 1k for selling in the past 2 months. Of that, since I’m on commission, after fees… I keep 30%. :)

You can also use your debit card for anything that you need a credit card for.
