What are some hard liquor that taste good?

Here’s the problem: I need some kind of hard liquor to do shots with. I used to stick with the Parrot Bay Coconut Rum (but the price in MA went up to $37 a handle and also its only 40 proof). So I was wondering if people could recommend specific brands of alcohol that are good for doing shots while at the same time cost less then $30 for a handle?

I like Buttershots Schnapps,
well I like most kinds of Schnapps.
I’ve never actually tried it, but I’ve heard that if you run cheap vodka through a water filter [like a Brita filter or something] a few times it’ll taste better.
Anywho, vodka sours are pretty easy to do and I’m fairly certain it’s pretty cheap. I like Absolut for a non expensive vodka [it doesn’t hurt that Zach Galifianakis and Tim and Eric did Absolut commercials to get me to buy that vodka every time].
I’m not much of a premixed/preflavored alcohol drinker [too sugary and gets me sick], so I can’t help much with that sort of alcohol. I prefer just getting a cheap bottle of Jim Beam and drinking it straight out of the bottle.
Gin (Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray).
Add juice. Snoop.
Evan Williams (bourbon) is one of the best bargain liquors that exists. $16 a handle.
Ok I finally found this! It is smooth like Patron, but a lot less expensive.
And, Tequila El Tesoro de Don Felipe Paradiso (if you can afford it. One hundred bucks/bottle). It goes down smooth. We tend to do shots.
151….if you’re into the taste of gasoline. one shot and you’re done. haha
tequila rose…really delicious, but it’s pretty girly.

Captain Morgan/Lieutenant Dan/Admiral Nelson (all rum)
Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
@WCUBassBone1 : one time I decided to do like 3 shots of 151 in like an hour. Needless to say the night did not drink well. And I refuse to drink the 151 unless it’s mixed (it goes great with OJ).
@mass_pike4: Peppermint Schnapps with choclate syrup is really good.
Since you like parrot bay rum go to a good liquor store and shop the cordial shelf.

Whiskey/Bourbon is the only hard alcohol for me.
Tequila is the only shot you’ll ever need. I’ve got a bottle of a nicer Cuervo that’s pretty smooth and not so pricey either. Of course a lime is still required.
I actually used some in a homemade tequila-lime dressing, it was tasty.
Tequila is the work of the devil. Whenever i drink tequila i go ape-shit-crazy and usually end up doing something stupid, the night will not end without me vomiting atleast thrice. Just thinking about tequila makes my stomach churn. There is no way of drinking tequila without turning a calm night into a raving asylum.
If you like really smokey single malt whiskey (like i do), try Laphroiag. It tastes like drinking tar and cigarette smoke, doesn’t sound too tasty but i l-o-v-e it.
@nisse I agree with you tequila is the only liqour that makes me mean.
I don’t want to be a killjoy, but doing shots isn’t a good idea.
Depends on how many you do.
