In works like The Lovely Bones or What Dreams May Come, the imagery in a person’s afterlife comes from their own mind. I’m not asking what we believe about the afterlife, I just think it would be nifty if this could happen. Would you be surprised at the images and ideas from your subconscious, or would you purposefully craft your own afterlife landscape? What would it look like?
