What is the name of that darn cartoon?

Asked by Trillian (21153points) January 18th, 2010

The Foghorn Leghorn on another thread got me thinking about cartoons. I looked a bunch up on You tube, saw some old favorites. There was one about a dog and a coyote. The lived in houses next to each other, they’d walk to work together, clock in and start fighting. The dog had to watch the sheep, the coyote had to try to get one. The dog would pound on the coyote every time he caught him. Then they’d clock out and walk home together. Even as a child I thought that concept was hilarious. Does anyone remember the name of it?

The Coyote is Wile E. Coyote, the antagonist of the Roadrunner.

There were a few, the first being Don’t Give Up The Sheep.
There’s more listed here

@Snarp It’s actually not Wile E., even though they look similar. There are a few differences between the two (red versus black nose, eye color).

They were Ralph (wolf) and Sam (dog).

OK, Wikipedia informs me that I am wrong too. Apparently it is Ralph Wolf and Sam sheepdog, but the character design is the same.
