Where do I buy a cheap oriental rug?

I need an area rug. I like some oriental rug designs, but they seem really expensive. For a rug. If I buy one on craigslist, do I have to worry about mites and other dirty things in the rug? Is it worth it?

I have seen some nice rugs at Lowe’s which I am sure aren’t true oriental rugs, but have the look of oriental designs for a much cheaper price.
