Would his behavior indicate that he is interested in more than friendship?

Asked by xshortiex (247points) January 23rd, 2010

I’m really good mates with a guy who’s in some of my classes. We’re constantly play fighting and messing around, but I don’t know what to make of it. When I told him about another guy I liked because I wanted his advice, he said I deserved a nice guy. I wasn’t sure so said theres nothing about me that makes me more deserving than anyone else, to which he replied oh yes there is! He knows I used to like him but since then i’ve told him that i’m over him and thought he should know. His reply was “cool cool :D good stuff”, and since then he’s been flirting a lot more than usual and talking to me more and smiling when he catches my eye. What should I make of this?

Until he says otherwise, he likes you and is interested in being a good friend. Enjoy that.

Ask him.

What do you want? Do you want him to be your friend or do you want him to be more than a friend? Make sure you know first what answer you are looking for.

@Marina how would I ask him? Just come straight out and say it?

He likes you…don’t waste any more time just let him know you are interested in him too!

@xshortiex Yes. Say something like, “I have noticed signs of you flirting with me. I am wondering if you have feelings for me that are more than friend feelings. I have been feeling more than friends toward you.”

@ Marina Thanks. I might try that. Think I’ll give it a little more time before I say anything, just to make sure i’m not getting the wrong impression.
