Can you recommend any websites for pricing rare vinyl records?
Ideally, ones where you just enter the details of the record that you want to price, and you get an answer? ebay seems to be a waste of time for this.(Unless I’m using it wrongly.)
Any suggestions?

That looks like an excellent resource for LP’s
I use terapeak.com for everything under the sun. It searches millions of completed auctions. I think the last seven days is free but you’ll have to have a membership for 90 days of completed auctions but it’s EVERYTHING on ebay. For many things 7 days is sufficient unless it’s super rare.
@lloydbird I see you are from England. There used to be a website called Vinyl Classics that sold vinyls. Not sure if it is still in business but it was in England.
@lloydbird
No eBay is great. Just make sure you search COMPLETED auctions and see what actually sold to get a feel for the market.
GEMM – Global E-commerce Mega Marketplace
@SeventhSense Oh. eBay was just a joke in my opinion, but I guess it could be used to get a good idea of market prices.
@Fred931
Well 1,277,252 individual LP auctions in the last 90 days.
Average selling price $25.51.
No joke.
http://www.musicpriceguide.com/ gives ending ebay prices for anything that sold at auction for more than $10. Looks like it includes USA and UK. I did a quick search for one of my lps and the listing dates went back to last April
@MagsRags
it seems that music LP collectors are by nature tabulating…they have some excellent resources
My thanks to all. Much appreciated.
Gemm seems like a collector’s website and place to purchase. He’s looking to price records and for that purpose you need to know what many different sellers actually sold records for and for that purpose www.popsike.com seems perfect and it’s free. Do you know what sellers of antiques would pay for that type of information in their market?
That’s priceless.
If you cannot find a suitable site for the information you are seeking, if you have a Books A Million store in your city, go to the collectible section. you will find at least two hugh books there that give prices for almost every vinyl record ever made. i use these books often, as i have been a collector for years. sorry i do not remember the names of the books, but once you are in this section, you will recognize the books front covers immediately. both have photos of old 45s on them. john
