Chocolate addiction soars the charts each year…and 12 step programs haven’t had a highly success rate…
What is it about this brown candy that is so irresistible? What ingredient, what factor makes chocolate so appealing?

I haven’t a clue since it’s never had a grip on me though I do appreciate dark more bitter chocolate. Cheese on the other hand, I might entertain going into a 12 step program for that.
I’ve never took the time to question chocolate, the wrapper is empty by the time I start thinking =(.
It’s the cacao. And the fact that it’s not carob.
It’s objectively good.
:)
I can’t even tell you what chocolate tastes like, it goes down too fast.
because it does. It’s melts in your mouth. It is rich and it just has that taste. Wait..where did my chocolate go? Didn’t I have a chocolate bar just a few seconds ago?
It’s good, and it’s good for you, and it encourages the release of endorphins.
Even the name makes your mouth water. Chocolaaaaa- wait, nevermind, it doesn’t really.
Haven’t i heard somewhere that it is good for your skin? Or it makes you look younger? Or am I just hallucinating? Well, even if it doesn’t, I’ll just believe it does, for self esteem issues.
Raw chocolate isn’t actually all that tasty on its own.
@Nullo I learned that from experience…at age seven if I recall correctly. :)
the taste i suppose. im not sure but i like it. lol
Phenylethylamine. It tastes like love.
And theobromine.
And the fact that it contains a lot of fat.
To me addiction is too strong overused word. Obsession seems more accurate.
Going 3 weeks without chocolate is quite a different story compared to substances like heroin or meth.
