Would you pay the big money for this warm bed?
A hotel in London has apparently gone mad. for those that have too much money and hate the london fog and cold nights, this is for you: before you check in at this hotel, a person will slip into a full nightgown and haircover and warm your bed for you. thats right, they will lay under your covers and warm your bed for you! i can’t decide if this is a smart or stupid idea. personally, i think i will just pass and let my wife keep me warm.please tell me what you are thinking right now….............

This sounds gross. No.
Oh, and it’s weird.
Umm…..that’s slightly disturbing and weird. What if the bed warmer sharts themselves?
“So what’s your job?”
“I warm beds at a hotel.”
Though the idea of selling body heat is interesting. Maybe I could turn this into a business…
But no, I don’t think I would want that. Getting into a cold bed is not that bad. It doesn’t take long for it to warm up if you’re wearing the right clothing. And during the summer, getting into a cold bed is awesome. :)
Heating up beds isn’t a bad idea.
I have to say, there must be some better way to do it though.
I mean, I have an electric blanket. Why not just use one of those?
why don’t they just put hot water bottles in there like everywhere else
I do not have a clue where this idea came from. this was in an article today at Yahoo News.
Two Holiday Inns trying this in London. article is from Reuters today on Yahoo News. i wonder if the bed warmers also contribute to bed bugs and what REALLY HAPPENS, before you arrive, to warm up those covers???
Gross. Whatever happened to the good ol’ days of electric blankets?
In the old days we used to use a hot water bottle. Before that it was a stone heated in the fireplace.
Me, I like the cool spot and always have to move if it gets too warm. I’d rather sleep on a bare mattress than on flannel sheets, which never have a cool spot.
I do like a warm bed* in the winter (my bedroom has no heat), but the idea of some random person warming it up for me just skeeves me out. Ick. Electric blanket would certainly do the trick in a much more pleasant way.
* I also need a cold spot, so I use fleece sheets, but a quilt on top of that (so I can grab it with my feet), and regular pillowcases. Can’t stand a hot pillow.
I wouldn’t pay for it, but i could imagine having that job :)
EEw, I would not want a stranger in my bed. I would much rather have the attendant turn on the heat to a nice, comfy, 72 degrees a few hours before.
