I notice it. I get it when I hold it for a long time, and then there’s the satisfying relief of the shiver. But it seems like this is really not common since some people don’t believe it exists, or that it only happens to women, which are both wrong.
Reddit had an article written about the subject, and had some discussion about it as well:

cool thanks sinscriven. I was just wondering if it was only me that ever got the shivers. And if you don’t like the question then don’t answer it gailcalled
I think it ha something to our body temperature adjusting to our bladder temp becausewhen your holding your pee your body temp drops because the inner organs try to keep the pee warm,so it doesn’t hurt the pee tube.thats also why it feels good when u pee and why it steams when u pee outside in the winter. Imagine peeing cold, ice cold, yea I know
This is hilarious…but true. Happens to me
RedmannX5 i doubt gailcalled meant to come off in an angry manner but most of us on fluther get rather annoyed with questions that are easily answered via a google/wikipedia search. Please keep that in mind next time before posting a question.
@uber and Red; I no longer get angry, only exasperated, frustrated or stupified. Having lived thru Junior High and a son and tnhree step-sons, there are no bathroom or excretion questions or jokes I have not heard…Boring..
However, here is clever. The British satirists (and millionaires), Michael Flanders & Donald Swann wrote a song called “Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers”.
Ma’s out, Pa’s out, Let’s talk rude!
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
Dance in the garden in the nude,
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
Let’s write rude words all down our street,
Stick out our tongues at the people we meet,
Let’s have an intellectual treat

Inadequate government funding toward piss-related mysteries has lead to several “educated guesses” as to why the shaking occurs. Some have offered a highly technical and uninteresting explanation involving changes in the nervous system when the bladder is relaxed.
The simplest explanation, though, is that the rapid release of warm fluid lowers the body’s overall temperature leaving it to react the same way you would in a cold breeze. Why you don’t shake when vomiting or giving blood was not answered, because those particular researchers apparently decided they had thought about it long enough.
