You might like Freeway. It is a great movie with Reese Witherspoon, Kiefer Sutherland and Brittany Murphy made in 1996.
If you like Fight Club and Reservoir Dogs you’d probably like Amorres Perros and maybe Babel and Secuestro Express.
The Limey
The Heist
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
Amores Peros
La Femme Nikita (original)
A Clockwork Orange
Revolver
Anything by Quentin Tarantino.
Watch the movie Layer Cake with Daniel Craig before he became Bond. It’s not very well-known, but it’s absolutely brilliant.
I also have to second Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
@hungryhungryhortence i have seen all of them except amores perros and enjoyed them all, and since thats the second mention amores perros has got i think i best take a closer look.
Firefly series, followed by the movie Serenity
Based on your taste, I PROMISE you will love “Hard Eight,” by the director who did “Boogie Nights,” another great movie.
Just to keep going on the sci fi/fantasy bit,
Battlestar Galactica, the new series
The Prisoner, the old series
Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
Free Enterprise (if you’re a Star Trek geek like me)
sigh. I am geek. Hear me roar.
Wow! Lot of great movie suggestions on this thread.
@Austinlad just watched the trailer, looks good. on the list for sure.
Deuces Wild
I second the firefly serenity combo
There’s always the old favorites: the original Star Wars trilogy.
I really didn’t care for the new one.
@Dr_Dredd now there is an idea. it sure has been some time since i last watched em.
Vantage Point was good
The Bourne series was good (based on your intelligent action preferences)
Desperado
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
Army of Darkness—it is arguably the greatest movie ever.
the trans was supposed to be a joke, but when i put it far down, it brought it back up for me
Battlestar Galactica (the new series)
Memento
Cloverfield
House (TV series)
I haven’t really read any of the above suggestions, so I apologize for repetitions . . .
being john malkovitch
fear and loathing in las vegas
donnie darko
the departed
the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy
persepolis
quills
chinatown

alias (tv series, seasons 1–3)
oh, and american psycho. uh, barton fink. children of men. City of god. the fall. I think i’m done.
I’m with @filmfann plus anything Tarantino, and anything with Ed Norton in it. Literally, all his movies are great.
Oh, if were doing TV series, Arrested Development. Clever writing with out the laugh track. Best show ever to be canceled prematurely by fox.
I’d strongly recommed ‘District 9’. Despite being a sci-fi / action movie it has some very interesting & important social commentry.
The Game with Michael Douglas.
Movie:—— The Matrix
TV show:—- The big bang theory
