Any suggestions on micro-scale book printing?

Asked by Nullo (22033points) January 25th, 2010

I have a number of e-texts (public domain and one with-permission) that I’ve been meaning to print, book-style, for some time. I’ve printed two chapters of the with-permission on my desktop printer, and while it is fun, it’s also not very practical.
Do any of you know of a company that will print very small runs of these books, and then bind them like books? None of that spirally stuff. Local printers are varying degrees of unhelpful.

You could try Lulu.

That sounds expensive. I’m just going to state the obvious, but why not get an e-reader or small tablet pc for the same price?

@johnpowell A partner of mine also uses Lulu, as do various co-writers and artists he’s worked with. All have great things to say about it.

I like having the actual book, you see, and I’d like multiple copies that I can loan out.
