If you ask a silly/ridiculous question in Fluther, do you get punished?

Just wondering cuz I don’t see anyone asking things like
“I found a family of Greys feeding on strawberries! What should I do?” etc. Etc. Is there a ban on this?

You get whipped with a wet noodle.
Questions that don’t follow the guidelines will get moderated.
You have to be careful. There’s no problem with silly questions, as long as they’re clever and well-crafted. @phoenyx has the right idea.
@phoenyx gotcha. Sigh…no hilarious questions then :D
Oh no – we have had many, many hilarious questions! Just go for wit and clarity – and good grammar if you don’t want to incur the wrath of gailcalled. The answers to this question will give you some examples; not all of which followed the guidelines.
This one showed up yesterday. Just sayin’
You could get flamed or mocked by users. If it’s really lame, a moderator will most likely take it down. Users go especially hard on people trying to get homework questions answered for them. On this, I tend to swim against the current and give help short of actually doing the work for them.
@stranger_in_a_strange_land. Is questions like the one I gave as a sample likely to get flames as well? I always thought that a bit of hilarity wouldn’t bee too bad :)
@frigate1985 As long as it’s obviously of humorous intent, you needn’t worry. There are a few grouchy purists, but they generally get crowded out.
Yes. You will be punished. Andrew will come to your house and make guacomole.
@breedmitch I usually pair it with your wine, so it’s insult to injury.
I have both asked and answered silly questions on fluther. It’s all in how you do it. Just for some random examples, do a search on “zombie” and see what you come up with. There’s also this classic, the origin of an undying fluther meme that still gets referenced probably several times per week.
@Jeruba I’d never seen that one before. Interesting! :-)
