Has anyone else had trouble with the whisper function on Fluther?

Asked by lonelydragon (7770points) January 27th, 2010

I typed in the dashes around the comments that I wanted to “whisper”, but the text didn’t change (I can do strong emphasis with no trouble). Is anyone else having this problem? I’m trying to figure out if it’s an issue with the site or if I just did something dumb.

Make sure there are no spaces in between the two dashes and the text you want to whisper.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities Thanks for your suggestion. Just as I thought, it was me being dumb! Gosh, where did my brain go? Is it the weekend yet?

Pre-weekend anticipation, a piece of chocolate cake will stem the desire to default into weekend mode- resist the temptation…until Friday!

@phil196662 LOL. I’ve been snacking on a few Hershey’s kisses to help me get through.

About the original question, I actually tried whispering again, and I noticed that even when I didn’t put spaces between the dash and the text, I still had trouble. The whisper function doesn’t work unless I type the sentence first and then insert the dashes. Is that normal?

my discovery is it won’t whisper until you put the ending ones.

Hersheys kisses will pack on the pounds, if you are not very careful.

@john65pennington That’s why I said a few, not the entire bag! ;)

but @lonelydragon ; some of the kisses would melt because the bag might have a hole in it
