I’m thinking of trying it as a study drug, and I just want to be somewhat sure nothing horrible is going to happen.

I was prescribed this med for my ADD and it worked great if I took the right dosage suggested by my doctor. If I took too much, it made me feel “strung-out” so to speak and I hated it. It’s powerful stuff and so I wouldn’t take much of it, especially if it wasn’t prescribed for you. Drugs are crazy and you never know, so be careful.
My seven year old son takes it for ADHD. He does well on it in school. The side effects were kind of bad on a little kid though. He lost 12 pounds in a year. He was chunky when he started taking it, so the doctor wasn’t too concerned. Then when he kept losing weight, they changed him to Stratera. It heightened his ADHD. So he went back on Vyvanse. He has trouble sleeping while taking Vyvanse so he has to take Melatonin and Clonidine. It’s really sad that a little guy should have to take so much medicine, but he’s really out of control when he doesn’t take it.
I take it, LOVE it compaired to other ADD meds, the only major side effect is when I am on it, and I try to exercize it makes my heart rate go through the roof, I have mitigated this by working out before I take it.

I like Vyvanse and found that it helped my concentration at work considerably. It does have a side effect of raising blood pressure slightly and that is a concern for someone with even mild hypertension.
BUT WHAT REALLY TROUBLES ME IS YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION IN WHICH YOU STATE THAT YOU ARE CONSIDERING VYVANSE AS A STUDY DRUG. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STIMULANT THAT REQUIRES MANAGEMENT BY A LICENSED PHYSICIAN AND YOU SHOULD NOT CONSIDER USING THIS AS A STUDY DRUG .
