I want to do useful, ameliorative work, and to have loving relationships up to the very moment of incapacity. I wouldn’t turn down a month in Paris, either.
Make sure my financial affairs are in order
I have had a very fortunate and happy life to date. the many things i wanted to do before i died, i have accomplished, except for one little bitty thing….....................
I want to go on a sleigh ride in a real sleigh pulled by a real horse over real snow. since i live in Tennessee, our snowfalls are few and far between.
i want to do as much as possible i want to take my son to all the countries i have been i want him to go to turkey with me and see how beautiful it is. i want to be able to die knowing that i lived a good life and i want to help as many unwated animals as i can. and i know this one is going to sound dumb and probally will never happen but hopefully when i die maybe pitbulls won’t have a bad rap but i’m not holding my breathe
I keep misplacing my bucket list and I can’t find a previous answer of mine that I submitted on Fluther here where I listed everything I wanted to do before I took the big escalator into the hereafter. Here’s a few things I’d like to achieve right off the top of my head:
- Finish my college education
– Get my private pilot’s license
– Learn to scuba dive
– See the Taj Mahal, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Great Wall of China
– Retire from the military
– Go skydiving
– Wrestle with Lions and Tigers at the Out of Africa wildlife park in Camp Verde, Arizona
Like @dpworkin, I want to have a loving relationship up unto the point of incapcity
I’d like to travel outside the USA
Skydiving
more of all the good stuff I’ve already had
How long before I die?. If just an hour,I’ll pray then overdosed by my sleep pills(no need to worry anymore,I feel so peaceful…).
If it’s a long time,I’ll waste all my money for anything I like and pamper my life.
I wish to live before I die.
I would like to get rid of my things before I die. I want all of it taken care of. I don’t want my family to have more than a small box of things to deal with, and to this end, I have been minimizing my possessions for the last few years.
participate in an orgy! seriously..travel the world. run across a football field during a game. drive but naked in a convertible before i get arrested..umm..wat else.
I’m still composing my bucket list, but at the top is camping under the Aurora Borealis and taking a hot-air balloon trip.
To fuck the arse off Angelina Jolie while she’s still do-able.Plenty of time, but she does need to make her mind up soon or else i’ll get bored & move on.
I’d like to continue becoming the most authentic, loving and whole version of myself that I can. I’d also like to explore more learning with passion and find ways to increase my mental stimulation and creativity.
Eat as much as I possibly can. Also travel everywhere, and become a rock star.
@efritz you want to eat as much as possible and be a rock star? You want to be Elvis!
tease a member of a royal family by playing keep away with their crown.
thats funny poisonedantidote
Hug a tiger and kiss it on its nose.
Hold, feed and play with any large cat’s kitten: baby tiger, lion, leopard, cheetah…
1. Go on The Price is Right
2. Go go The Statue of Liberty
3. Travel abroad
@tinyfaery you should hug and kiss the tiger last. becuase you will then…....die.
oh aw man i was gonna ask you “like omg where did you tottally get that top from”
Looks like your classic Ralph Lauren polo to me.
I’d really like to visit America & do a grand tour, road trip from one side to the other, top to bottom & back again, just in case I missed a bit!! ;-)
@Scooby where are you from? europe? (just a guess) and once i drove from florida to california..it was so much fun.
I’ve seen the world, albeit mostly war zones and disaster areas. The only goal I have at present is to finish my history doctorate, more as a memorial to my late wife and to tie up a loose end I left off 30 years ago. Maybe get a biodiesel refinery operating on a paying basis, using as feedstock products that do not reduce food production.
@stranger_in_a_strange_land mostly warzones? what field of work are you in..sounds interesting. sorry to hear about your wife. i think its commendable what your doing.
@bigboss I was a professional soldier. Three wars, peacekeeping missions and disaster relief (Combat Engineers).
@bigboss My thesis research should take me to Germany, England and Scotland. So I’ll get to see some more peaceful parts of the world.
I would love to finish my Ph.D., use it to do a bit of good, make sure my beloved wife is well-provided for, finish rebuilding our home, travel a bit with her, finish writing my book, and build an HO model train layout ( something I have wanted to do since I was about 8 years old! ). : ))
According to my oncologist’s original prediction, I have about two years left before this incurable cancer catches up with me. I refuse to accept that. It’s in remission just now, although there are no guarantees, and I intend to behave as if it is ALWAYS going to be “in remission.” Still, the fact that it’s considered “incurable” gives a degree of urgency to all that I plan to do. Sometimes I see that as a plus! : D
@CaptainHarley Often a GA seeems like such a trivial response. Good luck with your goals and your health.
@stranger_in_a_strange_land i enjoy learning and seeing abandoned castles and pyramids from ancient times. (on tv of course, i would love to visit them in person)
Have lasting loving relationsips with my famiy and friends.
Travel to several places including but not limited to: Colorado, Banff, and Spain, and go back to Italy, Upstate NY, and New England.
Be financially free. Have enough money that I can just live off the interest, even if it is in a fairly modest way. I still might work, but knowing neither my husband nr I have to work.
Open a Karting track with my husband.
I would really like to build something that has my stamp on it. Like how Trump likes his name on buildings. I too love the idea of it being real estate, but think of it more as developing a residential or mixed use community. The big fantasy would be to combine the Kart track and my real estate dream and have a “club” with karting, pool, tennis courts, houses, and rentals, plus some retail space for a couple of restaurants and a convenience store where people can live all year or vacation.
@Silhouette It would be yeah, only she still has my attention. Wouldn’t rule her chances out just yet.Softly softly catchy monkey.
@janbb
Thank you. I intend to continue being me until there is no more me. : ))
BTW… no personal goal is “trivial” unless you allow it to be.
No, What I meant was giving a GA to an intense answer.
To be able to create the music I hear in my head via notation and ear and write a great piece of music before I die.
I want to go into outer space. lol. But I want to be with my girl and for us to raise a family.
Many things…Actually write a book and visit Ireland are at the top!
@bigboss
Yep I’m living in England, I grew up on American Movies & have always just wanted to sample the lifestyles of the many different States!! :-/ ideally I’d like to spend around six weeks in each state, just so I get a feel of the place, once I’ve enough money I’ll most likely turn up.. Lol…
@Scooby 6 weeks in each state? That is a loooong trip Sounds good to me though. I think it would take about 6 years? If my math is right.
@JLeslie
Well I guess I’ll have to find fifty free lodgings Lol on my way around!! .. Just shy of six years but almost, then I’d like to do Canada the same way ;-) I’ll be a long time dead…… Lol….
Fifty grand should do it :-)
just as long as I’m a free paying guest!! ;-)
@Scooby If you are serious I suggest not being rigid about 6 weeks in each state. Some states 2 weeks will be enough, and others you might want to spend 3 months. Sounds like fun. If you are a nurse you can get with a travelling nurse program and be moved around and paid at the same time.
@JLeslie
The idea has been rattling around for quite a while now, I had considered selling my house & vehicles to fund the trip but the recession put pay to that idea, most likely sell the cars & rent out the house, I’m going to do it eventually ;-)
it’s just a matter of when, when the times right. Ideally I want to get out of England within the next five years, if it’s not too late by then :-/ ……
I guess your right about the time spent in each state, I’m really going to have to do my homework, however I know straight off my first journey will be to the ‘Grand Canyon’ without a doubt…… ;-)
@Scooby Are you able to get a tourist visa for that long a stay? I think you should do it. I love the idea. I think the dollar is pretty cheap for you right now, so that would help, and there are definitely some states you can skip, because several of them are very similar. Hitting each region will give you a good idea (NE, Mid-Atlantic, SE, South, Midwest, Pacific NW, SW, etc.) I think you could easily do the lower 48 in 2 years and still get to spend weeks at a time in the cities you like best.
@JLeslie
I’m not sure about the visa or even what to apply for just yet? I do plan on working though as I move from place to place, how else to get a good feel of how each community works, obviously I’d only be seeking work in the places I indented to stay for long periods But there are at least another five years to sort out the little details, it’s still all very much in the embryonic stage as far as the idea goes, give it a few more years & it’ll start to mature, hopefully quite rapidly….. I might even decide to stay?? Who knows… Then on to Canada to round it all off, I’d be a very happy Man by then & more than a little contented….
;-)
@Scooby Do Canada in the summertime LOL. Seriously, Canada is truly wonderful, I do recommend spending time there.
@JLeslie
I’d love to see Canada in both summer & winter, winter appeals more to me, I like the cold dark nights, moon lit nights with the sky full of stars, slap bang in the middle of nowhere in particular :-/
@Scooby Lots of that up there. Go for it. BRRRR!
@JLeslie
Looking forward to it Lol.. ;-/
