I’ve never used hair product or appliances before, but my new haircut has bangs and they curl up at the side so I think I need to start straightening them in the mornings. What kind of flatiron is best? Looking for something that’s really fast so I don’t have to spend extra time on my hair.

Get a mini (½ inch or 1 inch) one. I have a Revlon one that I got for under $20 at Target.
I find that a bigger flatiron makes shorter hair, like bangs, kind of stick out, but the mini is easier to control and is fast.
personally my bangs look really awful when i straighten them so i use a big curler and it works and looks a lot better. just a suggestion :)
If bangs means hair, then you can’t go wrong with GHD’S.
Clay iron causes the least damage.
Use a curling iron with a wide barrel, 3” or so.
one more question – do you use the flatiron right after the shower while your hair is still wet? or do you blow dry the bangs first and then use the flatiron? Thanks!
I’d highly suggest using a product like Neutrogena HeatSafe to protect your hair from all the heat, then blow dry and then the flat iron.
