Has anyone managed to break Murphy's law?

Most of us have heard Murphy’s law, the familiar adage saying, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”. Certainly anyone pursuing a career or studies in engineering or science has heard it. In 1841 a newspaper in Norwalk, Ohio captured the essence of the aphorism in this verse (a parody of famous lines in Thomas Moore’s Lalla Rookh
I never had a slice of bread,
Particularly large and wide,
That did not fall upon the floor,
And always on the buttered side.
But is Murphy’s law a law of nature, as quantum mechanics is a law—or is it a human law, capable of being broken? Is it really Murphy’s law, or just Murphy’s flaw?
