My adobe flash player has stopped working - help! (See notes)
I have Windows 7 and Internet explorer 8. My flash player has always worked and suddenly stopped. I have tried everything to fix it including uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. When I try to watch videos it says I need the latest version of flash player, but when I go to the adobe site it says I have the latest version. What should I do? Is this a browser problem or a problem with the flash player?

Is this on all Flash websites? Have you tried it in other browsers?
Are you running a internet browser in 64 bit mode?. The IE that comes in windows? Try using a 32 bit browser like chrome, safari, or firefox. Adobe has been having problems witih 64 bit compatibility.
i downloaded firefox but it won’t work there either
a couple days ago dell had to come replace my motherboard – would that have anything to do with it?
No, that is an unrelated repair. So what happens when you load something using flash like you tube? Does it just crash or does it not load at all?
when i go to the video it has this message: Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe’s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.
I know java is enabled and adobe tells me that i have latest flash player
Most likely it is a corrupted flash installation. Has flash ever worked on your windows 7? If it has i would recommend a system restoral and then attempt to install the latest version again.
yup it has worked up until 2 or 3 days ago so i guess i’ll do the restore and let you know how it goes
ok. :) I hope it works! if not, hit me up.
But is this only on YouTube or also on other websites, like blip.tv? It might also be a problem with YouTube’s Flash detection.
