Not as of yet but there are rumours that there is a Flash Player being prepared for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I’m anticipating it myself.
well u can play QuickTime movies, what will the flash player enable?
The iPhone doesn’t support flash, and it’s unlikely to support it in the near future. But we might find out more on Thursday; Apple is presenting a software development kit for the iPhone. But it seems unlikely that Apple will let Adobe write a flash player for the iPhone.
the software development kit,please elaborate
Apple’s going to release a software development kit that will let people other than Apple write programs for the iPhone.
It is likely that Apple will maintain some level of control over what programs can be written and what level of access those programs are allowed to have. So they could nix the idea of a Flash plugin for Safari; if they wanted Flash on the iPhone, they’d probably have included it in the first place rather than going to great lengths to make Flash unnecessary (e.g., by convincing YouTube to re-encode its videos in non-Flash format).
Whether or not Flash comes to the iPhone, you should see lots of third-party iPhone apps in the coming months.
There is a possiblility that the iPhone will support flash, but there are many issues. For instance, flash drains battery, so they have to work around that issue because the iPhone is a small device with limited power.
so is there no other way to download movies besides using my laptop?
There is a lot of speculation about flash being added along side the SDK this week. One can only hope!
