Is there anyway to switch a phone after the return policy?

Asked by willbrawn (6619points) February 1st, 2010

I have a Verizon Droid. I dislike it extremely. I want a palm pre plus. I’ve played with them and love them. Is there anyway I can get them to sell me one and return my Droid.

Can I complain?

I am not sure about Verizons policy, but the only way T-Mobile will take back a cellphone is if its broken or needs repair within 30 days. just because you do not like the phone, may not be a good enough reason for Verizon to act in your behalf. like i said, i am not familiar with the policy of Verizon, but if you have been a good customer of Verizon for several years, they may make an exception. phone carriers love to keep loyal customers. i have been with T-Mobile for ten years and i am fortunate, they treat me like a king. i would give it a shot. the worst they can tell you is “no”.

How long has is been since the maximum return date?
Try to sweet talk the manager.
If that doesn’t work, you can always sell your Droid, and buy the one you want online for less (make sure it’s “unlocked”)

Verizon is real strict on their return policy. The dislike factor is not valid after the” try it” period. You can try to sell your phone than buy the palm pre plus.

Try running an ad on Craigs list in the “Barter” section.

It’s a long shot but there may be someone who has the phone you want but is dissatisfied with it.
