Has anyone ever lived in, or been to Cedar Rapids IA?

I’ve been there just once…to see the Grant Wood museum a few years ago. My husband was born there, but that’s the first time he’d been back. Looked like a pretty town. Sorry, I don’t know any more than that. Do a Google search for the chamber of commerce.

I used to drive through it on my way to Iowa City, which is where I went to school. One thing I know is that depending on which way the wind is blowing the entire city can end up smelling like oatmeal because of the Quaker Oats factory.

My Aunt and Uncle used to live there. I visited them, but it was about 50 years ago, so I suspect it’s changed a lot since then. I liked it a lot.

Yeah, my dad said he used to sell stuff to companies there. I asked him when, and he said the early 70’s. But it was a nice town!
