Can you give an example of a time when you should have been organized, but weren't, and what happened as a result?

Asked by Val123 (12739points) February 2nd, 2010

I have 50 gazillion pictures in my computer and I haven’t been the most organized with them. Trying to find a certain pic gives me a major headache! Man, talk about an exercise in frustration.

However, I recently dumped them all to discs (16 of them) and started over and you can be I’ll be a whole lot more organized this time around.

Living in the group homes, I was warned about a year before I turned 18 that I’d get booted out, and so should work on finding a job and a place. I did nothing. When I turned 18, I was allowed to remain for a while, and was given some leads for welfare and programs that help you get set up. I did nothing.
Then I got kicked out and had to live in the street for a while haha.

I am always so organized, but one time I wasn’t and I couldn’t find a paper that I worked ard on and I almost had to redo it. Good thing I found it after a couple minutes of searching. :)

Over the years, we have developed road trip lists of things so we wouldn’t forget, but this last trip was a sudden death in the family, and we forgot to check our lists. We had to buy several things that we could have brought with us.

Try this http://cires.matthewriley.com

“CIRES is a robust content-based image retrieval system based upon a combination of higher-level and lower-level vision principles. Higher-level analysis uses perceptual organization, inference and grouping principles to extract semantic information describing the structural content of an image. Lower-level analysis employs a channel energy model to describe image texture, and utilizes color histogram techniques. Gabor filters are used to extract fractional energies in various spatial-frequency channels. The system is able to serve queries ranging from scenes of purely natural objects such as vegetation, trees, sky, etc. to images containing conspicuous structural objects such as buildings, towers, bridges, etc.”

There are other research projects as well. Google is working on something too.
