I’ve tried reading up on this online but there are so many different answers, so I thought I would see what everyone has to say about it!
I know about caffeine and how your body reacts to it but I’m wondering more about major health concerns for long-term consumption (even though I don’t drink that much per day).
I drink a cup of coffee every morning, and SOMETIMES I’ll have one later in the day.

Not in moderation. Just like almost anything.
In general, it seems the caffeine consumption is relatively harmless. It doesn’t put undue stress on your liver or result in dangerous side compounds after digestion or anything. But, you can become addicted to it quite easily (and you probably are, since you have one every day), and the withdraw symptoms can be pretty bad, depending on the person. Usually bad headaches for a few days.
Other then that though, and as long as it’s in moderation (as @missingbite said), it should be fine. If you drink huge amounts (like, a few pots a day), it could have bad effects, but a cup or so a day won’t kill you.
Quite the opposite, research is showing that coffee consumption has health benefits, including, “lowering your risk of diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and colon cancer…lifting your mood and treating headaches…[and] lowering your risk of cavities.” WebMD
Recent medical findings have declared that a moderate amount of coffee consumption on a daily basis actually aids in memory boost, to the extent that it may reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
As a child, I remember taking coffee at breakfast time before going to school. Now, I let my kids drink coffee as much as 3 cups a day. Of course it gets expensive when they start asking for Starbucks mochachinnos and such, while I settle for good ol’ Maxwell House.

It’s not horrible for you or anything. Your body does become Dependant on it though.

Coffee is extremely good for you and you should be thankful, because without the black elixir of wonder, society would have collapsed due to the uprising of the overworked drone of corporate America, and no one would be at work at a punctual time.
@VohuManah: In fact, coffee fueled the Renaissance. Without it, there would be no corporate America.
@BhacSsylan I am one of the few who does not get addicted. I can drink a pot a day (I work night shift) for months or even a year, just not feel like it and stop without any headaches or anything else.
@goose756 I go with the general consensus of there is no problem with coffee, but drink it in moderation. I started night shift in the early to mid 80s so, well, I drink too much. Even then, I have experienced no problems with it.
@VohuManah I call it the Elixir of Life. It also helps keep me employed because having a phlebotomist draw your blood when he is fighting falling asleep is a bad thing (I am a phlebotomist).
I am one of those guys who makes jokes about there being too much blood in my caffeine stream.
