Does anyone know how to modify this .swf file?

Asked by Spargett (5398points) March 2nd, 2008

Virtual Ragdoll

This is a pretty old ‘flash game’, I think it was called Tenka Girl before. But I’d really like to modify it for fun, by replacing the model’s face and body parts with my own.

I’m not a Flash guy, so I don’t know if there’s a way to do this to an existing .swf file, but all I want to do is replace a few existing images.

I think this would be a huge hit if someone made a webapp where people could upload their faces and parse out a unique file. Thanks in advance.

Considering how many places I’ve seen this with different graphics I’d guess that there’s some source code (or likely just an FLA file) floating around out there. I’ve not done much SWF “decompiling” but I’m not sure if you can do much beyond extract assets (graphics, sounds, etc).

There is software that lets you reverse engineer .swf files. Maybe that will help?

use an swf decompiler and it should give you all the different items ( sounds, textures, pictures) that sort of thing
