What are the consequences of drinking 3-4 Red Bull's a day?

Asked by crunchaweezy (1733points) February 3rd, 2010

Red Bull is like my Coca Cola and I have not been able to stop drinking it, day by day. What are the consequences of the ingredients in these cans multiplied by 3–4 a day?

The artificial flavours and ingredients aren’t the main problem it’s really the amount of sugar. Your pancreas will be put under a lot of strain trying to process all the sugar and that could lead to type 2 diabetes in the future.

I can tell you this- my boy had a 3–6 can of Sugar Free Red Bull daily habit for years. He started cutting down and is now down to 1 a day. Withdrawal effects (affects? I can never remember this one.) have included: headaches, moodiness, irritability, attention difficulties, and sleeping issues.
Good times.

Red Bull is not meant to be drank on a regular basis like water. Stop doing it.

Believe it or not, Red Bull isn’t as dangerous as it’s made out to be, and if you’re drinking the smaller cans, you should be fine especially if you’re spreading them out throughout the day.

Granted, I’m using the term “fine” loosely. You’re not going to drop dead from 4 cans of redbull, but you’re definately not doing yourself any favors either. Depending on your body type, lifestyle and diet you could very easily be putting yourself at risk for long term damage, like @HTDC said.

Extremely unhappy kidneys. And a heart attack if your unlucky.

It’s also making a serious dent in your wallet.

It’s the most ridiculously expensive sugar water I’ve seenvv

Do you know how they can manage to run all those cool looking ads and other marketing methods? Because folks like you believe the hype and are willing to pay their exaggerated prices, so they can keep paying obscene amounts of to run more cool ads….

…and the beat goes on.
