Some words are pre-arranged to show up in text messaging, how do I change them?
I forget the term for the menu option to have prior words show up when text messaging ie SMS. It is confusing as to how to change them, only my name is recognized because I type it a lot but how do I chage them?

Usually you can switch the word it’s displaying by using the directional buttons eventually you’ll get the option to add new words. What type of phone do you have?
It sounds like an “Autocomplete” or “TypeAhead” function, and there should be a setup option to turn it on or off. I don’t use it, either, even though my phone offers it.
Thank you, my previous phone had the acronym for it. I do believe it’s an acronym, not really sure. I can switch to another input mode, I just want it done now. I don’t want to wait for the phone to learn itself what my pattern is.
Never used that one. Do you still have the manual? it might be in there. The way it works for me is, I’ll start typing and say I’m writing “staff” and I’m at “st” so far it’ll show something like:
Start
star
staff
stuff
And eventually you can scroll down to “add word”. That’s how I get new words on it.
Does that method work for you?
yes, instead of scrolling I go laterally. It’s funny, I get the oddest combinations. Like Mad Libs you know.
I know exactly what you mean. Yes I’m going to the store to buy poem. What could I have been thinking trying to spell it “soda”?
