How long does it take for a htc hero to delete over 2000 text messages?

i have been waiting for 15 minutes for my htc hero to delete 200 messages or more. is this normal? my other phone only used to take about 3 mins

I don’t have a HTC phone, my low-level cheap samsung phone does it in a milisecond. I don’t think deleting someone should take anywhere near this long. Smells like bad programming/engineering.

Try rebooting the phone and trying again. I’ve never heard of this happening on Android so it’s most likley not it’s fault.
