How do I add my work email to my Blackberry?

I just got my first Blackberry and I have no clue how to add my work email to it. I’ve managed to get my personal email on it but the work one won’t add for some reason. Can someone give me some step by step instructions on how to do this?

Depends, are the emails coming from an accessible server or is it intranet based? If it is and it is set up using something similar to webmail then you should be able to go into preferences and select a ‘forward to account’. If not then you will need to get the settings from the administrator account with the relevant password and manually input the settings to your devices address :-)

If your work email is accessible via a POP3, click on “Manage Internet Email” icon on your BB.

Choose “Add My Existing Email Account” link.
enter your email address and the password in the fields provided.
Click on “Next” and BlackBerry will try to configure your account.

If it fails, you may need to manually enter the mailserver name….if you don’t know it, check with your network admin.

Also, make sure that you are authorized by your employer to retrieve your work email onto your personal blackberry. Violating a policy such as this, if in place, could actually jeopardize your employment.
