My boyfriend and I are having a fondue for Valentines Day dinner and I need some ideas for what kinds of food to get. Thanks for the help!

med-steak fondue…..sliced thin grilled beef(med rare) dipped into chocolate fondue = heaven, no lie may sounds nasty but extremely good.
Chocolate fondue… chocolate and cream mixed together.
Serve with strawberries and marshmallows… delicious!
ummm…my perfect Valentine’s Day food would be to buy a good bottle of wine, put something real good on the grill, and turn on some very romantic music! Do a lot of kissing and hugging! Which leads to the best food on Earth! Making love…..
I like BoBo1946’s answer; I would include, pineapples, apples, cantelope, strawberries, melon- melted chocolate, caramel and peanutbutter. It could get “sticky”; but that’s half the fun! ;)
Forget the fondue, just go to bed and fuck.
if you want a savory fondue for main dish, use a blend of veggie oil or canola oil, and peanut oil. Peanut oil has a higher temperature tolerance so it won’t smoke at higher temps. If you have a ceramic fondue pot, put the oil in a metal pan and bring it to almost a low boil on the stovetop first, then carefully transfer to your fondue stand. If your fondue pot is metal you can use it right on the stovetop. You can use cubes of steak, chicken and shrimp in the oil. Make some dipping sauces like a bearnaise for the beef, serve with a salad and some french bread and a good wine. Dessert fondue can be chocolate chips melted with some half and half or cream and a quick splash of vanilla. Serve with dippers like strawberries, pineapple chunks, mandarin orange slices, marshmallows or pound cake cubes. Happy dipping!
take a pound cake purchased from the grocery store, cut into slices, then the slices into cubes = pound cake cubes
