How come the moderators a so fast to moderate a question yet so slow to "unmoderate" it once rectified?

Hmmmmm.I only wanted a couple of fast answers before bed. Seems like I’ll have to find a site with less zealous moderators.

[mod says] Because we all have other jobs that require our undivided attention. The pending questions pop up intermittently, but it isn’t like we jump, immediately, when they arrive. We get more than 300 email notices per day. Imagine getting and reading that many emails. We’re trying our best.
[mod says] As @shilolo says, we do our best to stay on top of things. Occasionally we have more pressing matters to attend to immediately, whether they be troll or spam attacks on the site, or our outside lives. Try to bear with us. :)
I hope a few of mine stay lost.
