How long does cake last?
I am supposed to be baking cakes for a bake sale, but I want to know how long it will last because we have one tuesday and one thursday. I am simply planning on using cake mix.
would it be bad if i baked it tomorrow (sunday)?

Never long here in my house….seconds!
I wouldn’t bake the ones for Thursday on Sunday. They would be stale by then. The ones for Tuesday would be okay though.
What cake??;)) I would try to bake it the day of or the day before.
“Oh Rosie, come & get it” !! In this instance if I had to take a wild guess i’d say 2.6 seconds.That is of course just a ball park figure.
How hard is it to bake a cake on Wednesday? With a mix, it takes
three minutes to get it in the pan, half an hour in the oven, half an hour to cool, and five minutes to ice, assuming you’re using that horrible canned icing. Dunno. Seems like you could wedge that amount of work into your evening. So I sound mean? Not on purpose. Really.
@susanc – i understand where you are coming from and i normally would just bake it the day before, but mondays, wednesdays, and fridays i have class from 8 in the morning until 9 at night at a campus that is 40 min. away from my house. i do not have enough time to drive back and forth in between classes and i am afraid that i may be too tired when i get home wednesday night. hence why i was asking the question first.
