Will they ever release Shenmue 3?

I played Shenmue 1 for the Dreamcast, and Shenmue 2 for the Xbox. I want to know what the big secret is about those Phoenix mirrors! The end of Shenmue 2 hinted that something very interesting is about to happen next in the story. Will they ever release Shenmue 3? And for what system?

Really? Thanks! I was afraid they weren’t going to continue the franchise because the first two didn’t sell as well as they’d hoped.

Shenmue 2 was insanely awesome. I don’t even play video games and I loved it. I loved how you had to wait for stuff to happen at certain times- the only thing I didn’t like was the cinema dragons lair style sequences- (that is my reference for you to see how out of touch with video games I am) – I hope they make another!
